Below you will find an explanation of how your personal data is processed when you apply for roles at John Bjerrum-Nielsen A/S.

 

Data that must not be recorded

 According to the legislation (part 2, chapter 4, section 6 of the Danish Personal Data Act), there are special rules for processing and storing data concerning racial or ethnic background, political or religious beliefs, trade union affiliations and data on health and sexual relationships.

John Bjerrum-Nielsen A/S has no interest in this kind of data and encourages you to refrain from including this in your application. However, if your application does contain this type of data, your submission of the application will mean that you consent to the data being recorded.

Recruitment for vacancies

When you apply for a vacancy at John Bjerrum-Nielsen A/S, your application and skills will be assessed in relation to the position in question.
If you your application is unsuccessful, the written rejection will give the opportunity to consent in writing to John Bjerrum-Nielsen A/S saving your application and associated data. This will give you the option to be considered for other relevant positions, should any become vacant. Our HR department will store your data for six months after consent is obtained, after which your data will be deleted.
Unsolicited applications
When you send or submit an unsolicited application, your application will be stored by our HR department. Your application and skills will be assessed on an ongoing basis in relation to relevant vacancies at John Bjerrum-Nielsen A/S.
After you submit your unsolicited application, all your data will be stored for six months, then deleted.
References
We do not collect references or contact previous employers without your written consent.

Data from social media

If we do a search on social media, e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, in connection with your employment, we will store data about this.
Data from personality tests
If you undertake a personality test in connection with your employment, we will store the results of this. However, this will require your prior consent. We use personality tests to assess whether your skills and qualifications fit the company profile and the specific role.

Your rights

You have certain statutory rights that you can exercise against John Bjerrum Nielsen A/S. Below is a summary of these rights. You can find full information about your rights in chapters 3–5 of the GDPR.
a. Right of access to data. You have the right to know whether we are processing personal data about you. If this is the case, you have the right to be informed of e.g. which personal data is being processed, the purposes of the processing, which external recipients have access to your personal data and how long we will store your personal data.

b. Correction of incorrect data. You have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete data about you be corrected.

c. Deletion of certain data. You have the right to request deletion of your personal data under certain circumstances, e.g. if the personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which we collected it.

d. Right to object to John Bjerrum Nielsen’s processing of personal data. Under certain conditions, you will have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.

e. Right to restrict the processing of your personal data. In certain cases, you will be entitled to request that we restrict our processing of your personal data. If, for example, you have disputed the accuracy of your personal data, you can ask for restrictions to be placed on the processing for a certain period, i.e. until we have had the opportunity to determine whether or not the personal data is correct.

f. Complaints. If you wish to complain about John Bjerrum Nielsen’s processing of your personal data, you have the right to make a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Use

John Bjerrum-Nielsen A/S will only use your personal data in connection with recruitment. The personal data stored about you will be kept confidential and only be available to the managers and HR department involved in the recruitment process in question.

If a recruitment company is handling the recruitment process on our behalf, we may need to transfer your personal data to them. This recipient will only have the right to process your personal data on behalf of the company in connection with them performing a service for the company.
