Quality, environment and safety remain the focus at Bjerrum Nielsen at all times.

Quality

We have been ISO 9001 -certified since June 2015. This means that we have an efficient quality management system in place that covers CNC machining, industrial painting, pad printing, laser engraving and assembly.

For automotive industry customers, the following elements of our quality management system will also be relevant:

• Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

We would be happy to advise you on the various quality-related aspects and considerations you will deal with when selecting materials and processes. If necessary, we can also carry out relevant final inspections in relation to the documentation required.

Environment

In the CNC department and industrial painting in particular, we focus firmly on the minimisation of resource consumption (including energy) and chemical and smoke emissions, and we continually optimise our management of surplus materials and waste.

In the CNC department, for example, we have installed a recycling plant with a high efficiency level of 80 per cent, while in industrial painting we are using a catalytic treatment plant that incinerates the majority of our solvents and converts them into process heat. Once the residual solvents are boiled off, they can be used to clean painting cells and equipment, then be sent for regular combustion.

As far as energy efficiency is concerned, LED lighting and energy-efficient heat pumps are fitted throughout the company. Bjerrum Nielsen is also a DONG Climate Partner and thus ensures that all of the electricity we consume is offshore wind power.

For customers in the automotive industry, we of course provide all necessary data for the International Material Data System (IMDS).

FSC & PEFC certification

Since August 2023, we have been both FSC and PEFC certified as part of our focus on sustainability and the environment.
